Awesome video on these duch oven cast iron. I have brand new from an auction for only $5.00 a Uno Casa double dutch oven cast iron its in black. It has never been open yet, when im ready to work with it ill be opening it up clean it and season it.

He said you start with one, next thing you know you have a collection. I kown this to be true. As does my wife, much to her chagrin. She's not a fan.

Thanks for the info. I might go on Amazon and try the stuff that seals auto gas tanks as recommended below. My fount seperated at the bottom seam and I want to make sure the repair will hold. This is my first time reconditioning a Perfection heater and I too am finding it almost impossible to get the top to unscrew so I can replace the wick. Thanks for this video and the comments below!

is the rebuild kit for a 425 F same as a 425 E thanks for any info

I love the Asian pieces for the price. For me, iron is iron and if you know how to use it, clean it, care for it, it will last you a life time

My parents were tossing a 1978 one today it's rusted and dented all to he'll.i gutted it cleaned every component and sanded it down its now black with a purple tank.

Lol them over sea ones is made from engine blocks 🚫🤣 I'm gonna stay with lodge brands use .

JB weld has a product specifically for tank repairs called TankWeld which is a putty and might be a bit more durable

Wow! 1st time viewer here... U dismantled that stove quick!! I need to learn this kinda stuff to work on my stoves too. Found a 3 burner and wanted to clean the tubes and the tank before using it.

why would you want to drain coleman fuel at the end of season??? Coleman fuel till this day doesn’t go bad like gasoline...... It’s pure fuel w/o ethanol... Great tip, only run coleman fuel in your small 4 stroke engines (lawnmowers/go carts/scooters/generators) and you won’t have to drain those either. or buy a new one when you don’t!

I purchased the Lodge dutch ovens, one with the legs for outside cooking, and the other without the legs for stove top cooking and they both are great. They are also American made where the other two are made in China. I have new skillets also made in the U.S.A., and the only thing used as much as one of them is my Instant Pot which is Canadian made.

Best car camping stove ever. I have one I bought in the late 70's that runs just fine.

You positively identified a Coleman stove which was given to me my friend . It is a 425 B - Red tank . Time to go through it from top to bottom . Thanks for your video .

Those things don't die. I bought a 425E at Goodwill about 19 years ago for $1.50. It was in rough condition. I completely disassembled it, cleaned it, replaced less than $10.00 worth of parts (including a can of paint). It has run perfectly ever since then. It's funny when I go camping with a group and they all have their propane stoves. Then I whip out my 425 and everyone needs to come over and look at it.

Jb weld does not hold for long , you can purchase other stuff on Amazon that seals auto gas tanks and special putty to help with larger holes
